The Canadian singer and songwriter was aged 84 at the time of his death. Mr. Lightfoot died of natural causes at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He was famous for his folk music and first found fame in the 1970s. Famous for such songs as “If You Could Read My Mind”, “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” and “Carefree Highway” among others.
